Chiara Trovatello acknowledges the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme for funding the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship PIONEER. This Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship supports the researcher’s career and fosters excellence in research. As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellow, C.T. independently continues her research aimed at developing nanoscale platforms for nonlinear optics and quantum optics at Columbia University, NY, USA (18 months),  University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria (6 months), and Politecnico di Milano, Milano, Italy (12 months).
